How Review Works

Consignment Is Selective and Item-Specific

Personified Collectibles reviews select consignment and purchase opportunities based on item type, condition, documentation, market fit, shipping practicality, and current inventory focus. Submitting an item does not guarantee acceptance, valuation, authentication, appraisal, listing, or sale.

Questions

Why Work With Us?

Built for Objects With Story, Context, and Collector Interest

Consignment is most effective when an item is presented clearly, documented carefully, and matched to an audience that understands the category.

01

Collector-Focused Presentation

Collectors often care about context, display value, provenance, condition, category interest, and story as much as the object itself.

02

Documentation-Minded Review

When available, item history, markings, labels, source notes, certificates, photographs, receipts, and related details can help create a stronger listing record.

03

Clear Communication

If an item is accepted, expectations such as pricing approach, platform, fees, timeline, shipping, and payment should be confirmed in writing before listing.

04

Careful Fit Assessment

Not every item is a fit for the current store focus. A selective process helps protect buyer trust, consignor expectations, and the way each accepted piece is presented.

Items We May Consider

Collectibles, Memorabilia, Vintage Finds, and Distinctive Objects

The strongest submissions have clear photographs, measurements, condition details, known ownership history, and any available provenance or paperwork.

  • Production-related props, wardrobe-related pieces, set dressing, and production-made or production-linked material when supported
  • Production-related documents, call sheets, signage, scripts, and related paper material
  • Music, film, television, theater, and performance memorabilia
Historical documents, art objects, and specialty collectibles

What to Include

Send the Details That Help an Item Be Reviewed Properly

A strong submission gives enough information to understand what the item is, where it came from, what condition it is in, and whether it may fit the current store focus. Submission review is not a formal appraisal, authentication, or guarantee of acceptance.

Helpful Submission Details

  • Clear photographs from multiple angles
  • Close-ups of labels, signatures, markings, flaws, or damage
  • Measurements, materials, and condition notes
  • Known ownership history or source information
  • Receipts, certificates, letters, tags, or related paperwork
  • Your goal: consignment, direct sale review, or general fit assessment

If accepted, commission, fees, platform, shipping, payment timing, pricing approach, and responsibilities should be confirmed in writing before listing.

04

Listing & Presentation

Accepted items may be photographed, described, researched, documented when appropriate, and presented through the agreed selling channel under the written terms.

Common Questions

Consignment Review FAQ

These answers clarify costs, acceptance, documentation, privacy, and what to expect during the review process.

How much does it cost to consign?

Commission, fees, photography, shipping, platform costs, and payment terms may vary by item and arrangement. Any accepted consignment should have written terms before the item is listed. Costs and commissions are not assumed until confirmed in writing.

What if I do not know the value of my item?

You can still submit the item for review. Available market comparisons, condition, documentation, collector interest, and buyer demand may help guide whether the item is a fit. This review should not be treated as a formal appraisal.

Do you accept every item submitted?

No. Items are reviewed case by case. Some pieces may not fit the current store focus, may have limited market demand, may need more documentation, or may not be practical to list or ship.

Can seller information remain private?

Seller privacy is respected where reasonably possible. Public listings generally do not need to disclose private consignor details unless that information is required for provenance, legal compliance, or listing accuracy.

Do consigned items receive a COA?

Not automatically. Eligibility for Personified Collectibles documentation depends on the item, available information, and the written terms of the consignment. Some items may include third-party paperwork, provenance notes, listing documentation, or no additional certificate depending on the item and arrangement.
